Junior World Ski Championships Val di Fassa Trentino
Feb 25, 2019·Alpine SkiingThe Junior World Ski Championships 2019 have concluded in Val di Fassa, the resort in the heart of the Dolomites. Since last week, the best female and male junior skiers of the World compete for the prestigious medals in all disciplines.
In eleven competitions, eight nations were able to claim gold. Switzerland is the only nation with three golds and also topped the ranking of the most medals with a total of seven.
A successful edition for the Junior World Championships ended magnificently thanks to the organizing committee chaired by Davide Moser, the staff and the many volunteers who, with professionalism, have contributed to the success of the event.
«A perfect organization, with wonderful tracks, well prepared, and ideal weather conditions: it was a memorable edition of the Fis Alpin Junior World Ski Championships» commented the former Canadian downhill skier Ken Read, who now holds the role of head of youth activity within the FIS.
