Once again the Norwegians confirm their tradition in Val Gardena placing two athletes on the podium of Friday's Super G.  Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (NOR) was the fastest on the course set by the Austrian coach, claiming his fifth World Cup victory, the second in Val Gardena.

Kilde attacked as usual throughout the whole course and thanks to a flawless run, he was able to finish 0.12s ahead of Swiss Mauro Caviezel. Kilde could therefore celebrate his third Victory in Super G, the second one in 2020.

Kjetil Jansrud (NOR), who was very fast in the first two sections of the race, joined the Norwegian party,  finishing third (+0.21s) and claiming a record eleventh podium (seventh in Super G) in the Italian venue. The Norwegian ace finished on the podium six times in the last seven Super G races held on the legendary Saslong.

Mauro Caviezel (SUI) sneaked in between the two Norwegians and proved once again his incredible shape with this second place. Caviezel has finished in the top 5 in each of the last nine Super G races and holds on tight to the red bib.

On Saturday, the second race in Val Gardena will go down once again in perfect conditions. The second Downhill of the season is set to start at 11.45 CET. Who will be the fastest?
