START OF THE SPORTING CAREER
• Ida Ingemarsdotter grew up with skis on her feet
• In her childhood she did more sports including alpine skiing, Cross-Country skiing, football, orienteering and dancing
• Later Cross-Country Skiing was the sport she decided for and moved to Mora for high school, where she lived four years
• Since 20015 Ingemarsdotter has lived in Östersund.
CAREER
• She started her international career at the FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Stryn in 2004 and finished 2nd in the sprint free
• Shortly after she competed for the first time in a World Cup competition in Stockholm
• In 2005 she won bronze medal in classical sprint at the Junior World Ski Championships in Rovaniemi
• In 2007 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships debut in Sapporo
• In 2008 she claimed the Vice-U23 World Championship title in sprint in Malles
• In 2009 Ingemarsdotter was just edged out of the podium at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in sprint placing fourth position
• In 2010 first World Cup podium – 2nd place in in Canmore
• At the Olympics she finished 15th in the sprint and 5th in the relay
• In 2011 at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo she took the gold medal in team sprint and claimed the silver medal in relay
• In the season 2011/12 Ingemarsdotter took four top three results at World Cup with two individual victories, in Milano and Szklarska Poreba. She won also one team sprint and took the third place in the same discipline.
• At the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme in 2013 she took silver medal in 4x5km relay.
PERSONAL
• Ida Ingemarsdotter’s favorite training area is the mountains of Härjedalen
• Besides her native language Swedish, she speaks English and German
• She grew up in Sveg with her family, mother Ewa and father Ingemar.
• She says that driving force for her is” joy of doing sports and the chance to find out how far I can go.”
