Following a publication of the Swedish Ski Federation (on skidor.com), Ebba Andersson suffered a knee injury after slipping during a run at the national team camp in Bruksvallarna. Andersson hit exactly the spot where she already previousely expereienced an injury.

Ebba's knee has now been x-rayed and assessed by an orthopedic surgeon.
"In the case, she was given a draw in soft parts that engage the area where she previously operated. No surgery is involved, but she has a period of rehabilitation training ahead of her. We are following the process, but at present we cannot expect her to compete before the turn of the year," says national team physician Magnus Oscarsson.

Ebba Andersson does not currently want to answer questions but wants to focus completely on getting her rehabilitation started.
"It is, of course, very boring what happened. I was really looking forward to start racing this weekend. But the best thing I can do now is to look ahead and focus on my rehabilitation so that I can come back as soon as possible," says Ebba Andersson.

The FIS Cross-Country family wishes Ebba a full recovery and are looking forward to welcome her back at the World Cup stage!

Fellow team colleague Stina Nilsson was reported to skip the National opening due to a struggle with her shoulder. She is in training, but to not risk anything she chooses to skip the competitions in Gällivare, says national team coach Magnus Ingesson.

Through her win in the overall Sprint World Cup, Stina Nilsson placed herself in the top 20 last season and is guaranteed a starting place in the mini-tour in Ruka.
"It feels good to take it safe before the uncertain and rest your shoulder from the competition load this weekend. Instead, I set my sights on the World Cup premiere in Ruka, where I always feel really good about kicking off the World Cup season,” says Stina Nilsson.
