The 2024/25 FIS Freestyle Skiing season is set to highlight rising talent through the North American Cup (NorAm) and European Cup circuits. These Continental Cups are vital stepping stones for athletes looking to break into the World Cup circuit, offering them the chance to gain valuable competition experience on an international stage. This season will feature a variety of moguls, dual moguls, and aerials events at renowned venues across North America and Europe, ensuring a thrilling showcase of freestyle skiing.

The North American Cup tour begins in February 2025 with a series of high-energy competitions at some of the most prestigious venues in the United States and Canada. The first stop is at Deer Valley Resort and Utah Olympic Park, both located in Utah, where athletes will compete in moguls, dual moguls, and aerials, showcasing their precision and athleticism. Following this, the tour heads north to Canada with events at Apex Mountain in British Columbia and Lac-Beauport in Quebec, where the athletes will again test their skills in challenging moguls and aerials competitions. These Canadian venues are known for their tough terrain, adding an extra level of difficulty that will push the athletes to perform their best.

The NorAm tour continues with stops at Stratton Mountain Resort in Vermont, where East Coast skiers will get their chance to shine, followed by the final competitions at Val St. Come in Quebec, a venue that has produced numerous top-tier freestyle athletes. Throughout the tour, skiers will face tough competition and rapidly changing conditions, perfect for honing their skills in preparation for higher-level competitions. With such a diverse range of venues and conditions, the NorAm series promises to deliver exciting action while helping to groom the next generation of World Cup contenders.

On the other side of the Atlantic, the European Cup kicks off earlier in December 2024 with a mix of aerials and moguls competitions. The tour opens in the winter wonderland of Ruka, Finland, where aerialists will have the chance to start the season with high-flying performances. Airolo, Switzerland, follows as another prime location for aerials, with the Swiss Alps providing a stunning yet challenging backdrop for the early competitions. After the holiday break, the focus shifts to moguls and dual moguls, with stops in Duved, Sweden, in late January and a return to Finland in Jyväskylä for more moguls events. These Nordic locations are renowned for their difficult conditions, which will test the athletes’ ability to adapt to various courses and climates.

The European Cup tour continues in February and March with events in Sweden’s capital, Stockholm, where dual moguls competitions will bring head-to-head action, followed by Austria’s Montafon/Golm, a scenic alpine venue that consistently delivers top-tier freestyle skiing. As the season draws to a close, the Czech Republic will host another round of moguls and dual moguls before the grand finale in Airolo, Switzerland, in April 2025. This final set of aerials competitions will cap off what is sure to be a dramatic and competitive season in Europe. The European Cup, with its mix of traditional and challenging venues, offers rising stars the perfect platform to refine their skills and compete at a high level before stepping onto the World Cup stage.

Both the NorAm and European Cup circuits are essential proving grounds for freestyle skiing's future stars. With a packed calendar of events across two continents, this season promises to deliver outstanding performances as these athletes aim to secure their place among the elite ranks of the sport.
