Airolo hosts Moguls European Cup as Continental Cup action continues across Europe and North America
Feb 04, 2026·FreestyleFollowing successful events in Megève and Tignes, the FIS Freestyle European Cup Moguls tour continued this past Monday and Tuesday with its third stop of the season in Airolo, Switzerland. The competitions marked the first of two European Cup events scheduled in Airolo this winter, with the Aerials European Cup set to take place later in March. The Swiss resort will then host the 2026 FIS Freestyle Junior World Championships from 16–23 March, further underlining its important role on the international freestyle calendar.
Over the past two days, Monday and Tuesday, the focus in Airolo was firmly on moguls, with both Moguls and Dual Moguls competitions taking place.
In the women’s Moguls event, Nova Nilsson (SWE) claimed victory, finishing ahead of Laura Berghuis (NED) in second place and Nicolina Stenkula (SWE) in third. In the men’s competition, Marek Gajdecka (CZE) took the win, followed by Sweden’s Elis Moberg and Gordon Berg, who completed the podium in second and third respectively.
The action continued with the Dual Moguls competitions. In the women’s event, Annika Merz (GER) secured the victory ahead of Janneke Berghuis (NED), with Nicolina Stenkula (SWE) once again finishing on the podium in third place. On the men’s side, Noel Gravenfors (SWE) emerged victorious, defeating Charlie Roberts (GER) in second and Marek Gajdecka (CZE) in third.
With three events now completed on the European Cup Moguls tour, Laura Berghuis (NED) leads the women’s overall standings with 380 points, followed by Annika Merz (GER) on 350 points and Nova Nilsson (SWE) with 314 points.
In the men’s standings, Oliwer Verdaguer Forn (ESP) sits on top with 370 points, ahead of Arthur de Villaucourt (FRA) on 330 points and Leo Crozet (FRA) with 308 points.

The Moguls European Cup season continues with three events still to come. The tour next travels north to Stockholm, Sweden, for competitions on 19–20 February, before concluding with two further stops in Taivalkoski and Jyväskylä, Finland.
Nor-Am Cup season opens at Apex Mountain
While European Cup action unfolded in Airolo, the Nor-Am Cup season also got underway this past weekend with its opening competitions at Apex Mountain, British Columbia, Canada.
In the Moguls event, Abby McLarnon (USA) and Charles Beaulieu (CAN) claimed victories in the women’s and men’s competitions respectively. The Dual Moguls titles went to Xanthia Coote (AUS) and Xavier Drouin (CAN).

The Nor-Am Cup tour now moves on to Lake Placid, USA, for Aerials competitions on 7–8 February, with the next Moguls events scheduled to take place in Val St-Côme, Canada.
