Following last week’s Spring Committee meetings in Portorož, we’ve already shared a broader update HERE as well as a first look at the provisional 2026/27 FIS Freestyle World Cup calendar HERE.

With spring in full swing, there is still plenty of time before the next season gets underway, but the meetings also highlighted the ongoing work behind the scenes as preparations for 2026/27 continue to take shape. From calendar planning to broader developments across the sport, there are plenty of updates to follow in the coming weeks.

One key area is the Continental Cup circuit, which continues to play a crucial role in the freestyle ecosystem. And to kick things off, we’re starting with a first look at the 2026/27 North American Cup calendar.

The NorAm tour is set to return next winter with a strong and well-balanced calendar, featuring a classic mix of Moguls, Dual Moguls, and Aerials events across the United States and Canada. Known for hosting some of the most competitive fields outside the World Cup circuit, the NorAm Cup remains a key stepping stone for athletes progressing through the ranks.

“There is a lot to be excited about heading into next winter. The NorAm tour continues to grow with strong momentum, and we’re looking forward to another exciting season of competition and athlete development across North America.”Konrad Rotermund, FIS Freestyle NorAm Race Director

There is plenty to be excited about, with the 2026/27 season expected to expand further. In total, the tour is set to visit eight locations, hosting five Moguls, five Dual Moguls, and six Aerials competitions.

The season is scheduled to begin on February 3–4 at Utah Olympic Park (USA), with a pair of Aerials competitions. Moguls athletes will follow shortly after in Deer Valley (USA) on February 5–6, just one week after the World Cup event at the same venue.

“In 2026/27 the NorAm Cup expands to five Moguls venues, starting in Deer Valley Resort and finishing at Val Saint-Côme,” added Rotermund. “After experiencing our first ever NorAm cancellation last winter due to lack of snow, we’re hoping for a much stronger season from Mother Nature this time around.”

While the Moguls tour remains in the western part of the continent, moving to Apex Mountain (CAN) in British Columbia for Moguls and Dual Moguls competitions on February 13–14, the Aerials circuit heads east to Lac-Beauport (CAN), another key stop that will also feature on the World Cup calendar next season.

The Moguls tour continues in British Columbia with Panorama (CAN) hosting two competitions on February 19–20. Panorama Mountain Resort will make its debut on the NorAm calendar, while Killington Resort returns to the circuit for the first time since 2019.

Meanwhile, the Aerials athletes will wrap up their season at Bristol Mountain (USA) on February 27–28, marking the first ever NorAm stop at the venue. “On the Aerials side, we’re planning three double events for a total of six competitions, including a first ever NorAm stop at Bristol Mountain, which will also host the season finals,” said Rotermund.

For Moguls, the focus then shifts to the East Coast, with Killington (USA) staging competitions on March 6–7, before the tour concludes with a grand finale at Val St. Come (CAN), featuring Moguls and Dual Moguls events on March 13–14.

With a strong mix of established venues and high-level competition opportunities, the NorAm Cup once again provides a solid platform for athlete development. As the level continues to rise, the Continental Cup circuit remains a crucial step on the pathway to the World Cup — and a place where future stars begin their journey.
