Independent FIS Ethics and Compliance Officer (IECO)
The IECO operates independently and is not subject to instructions from the FIS governing bodies (the Congress, the Council or the Secretary General). The IECO:
Reviews reports of suspected breaches of the FIS Universal Code of Ethics and FIS Rules on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions
Can receive reports openly or confidentially
Assesses the information and prepares a report in line with FIS procedural rules for the FIS Ethics and Compliance Officer and the Ethics Committee
The IECO elected by the FIS Congress in 2025 is currently the Head of Sport of Quest.
FIS Ethics Committee (FEC)
The FIS Ethics Committee (FEC) is responsible for hearing and adjudicating cases involving alleged breaches of the FIS Universal Code of Ethics and the FIS Rules on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions.
The Committee:
Acts independently from FIS Member Associations or FIS management
Can impose sanctions listed in the Rules, including disqualifications, suspensions and fines

Independent Secretariat: Sport Resolutions
Any individual can anonymously report a suspected breach of FIS governance, ethics, or integrity regulations through the FIS Integrity Line.
