First FIS Summit held in Zurich
Sep 28, 2023·Inside FISThe first ever FIS Summit was held with 47 developing countries participating. The summit was open by FIS President Johan Eliasch, presenting the main points of the recently released FIS Strategic plan and centralization of media rights. The strategic goals were further elaborated on in separate follow up presentations from several FIS departments.
During the summit the participating nations had the opportunity to raise questions and openly discuss different topics from the presenters and be informed about how the FIS Strategic plan will be implemented in the day-to-day activities.
Following the summit, there was an official dinner, where two long lasting FIS Members were awarded with the FIS plaque. Ms Jenny Shute and Mr. Josef Zenhäusern were recognized after serving the developing nations via the FIS Development and Youth and Children Agenda.
It was agreed that the FIS Summit will be an annual event at the FIS Fall Technical meetings in Zurich.
