The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) is pleased to announce the launch of the bidding process for hosting future editions of the FIS Junior World Championships (JWSC), starting in 2026. This includes:

  • FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships

  • FIS Snowboard, Freestyle and Freeski Junior World Championships

As for Nordic disciplines, organizers are secured for upcoming years with hosting rights assigned to Trondheim (NOR), Shchuchinsk (KAZ), and Falun (SWE).

National Ski and Snowboard Associations (NSAs) are invited to apply to host future JWSC events. Through this newly streamlined process, FIS aims to establish a sustainable, high-quality calendar that supports the development of young athletes at the highest levels of competition.

The FIS Junior World Championships are crucial for nurturing the next generation of elite athletes, and we’re dedicated to building strong partnerships with our NSAs to create a lasting legacy of successful championships for years to come.Sandra Spitz, FIS Event and Sport Director
