Sunday’s jumping round of the Continental Cup in Eisenerz, once again was dominated by the very strong Norwegians. This time Sindre Ure Soetvik came out on top by landing the longest jump (107m) and starting the race eight seconds ahead of his teammate Harald Johnas Riiber. Third was Espen Bjoernstad (53 seconds behind), followed by the first non-Norwegian Jan Vytrval (01:04) and Germany’s Tobias Simon (01:11).

The cross country race was a copy of the day before with Soetvik and Riiber leading the field three out of four laps. Once again it were the strong cross-country skiers Mikko Kokslien, Paul Gerstgraser and Mika Vermeulen, who were able to catch Soetvik and Riiber and take over the lead.

Kokslien and Gerstgraser fought against each other until the very end of the race, with the better end for the Norwegian. Yesterday’s winner Mika Vermeulen came in third, followed by Riiber and Vytrval, who was able to show yet another strong cross country performance, celebrating his career best. Austria’s Martin Fritz completed the top six.
