Over 60 Technical Delegates from 19 nations have met in Oberwiesenthal, Germany for the bi-annual TD Seminar on the past weekend. The seminar, which is used to educate the different level TDs and to license new candidates, featured many presentations, group works and hands-on-workshops.

Next to the customary update of all changed rules over the past two year, Sub-Committee for Officials, Rules and Control Chairman Günther Csar and other highly experienced TDs and the FIS staff led through a program containing topics like safety, sanctions and appeals, the wind & gate system, equipment control, TD work in the past and today as well as a look back on the past season. Presentations, group work, intense discussions and also a practical workshop on different aspects on Oberwiesenthal’s Fichtelbergschanze were on schedule. Eight new candidates took their exam and will now look forward to first TD tasks in the upcoming season.

At the same time, the group also participated in a charity race benefiting an organisation of parents with children affected by cancer before the evenings gave the chance to enjoy more personal discussions and a chance to socialise and exchange experiences with the fellow TD colleagues.
