Aug 31, 2018·Nordic CombinedNorway’s Jarl Riiber has won the PCR/Qualification in the French venue of Chaux-Neuve. Even with a non-perfect jump to 113 metres, Riiber accumulated a total of 132.6 points which put him 34 seconds ahead of runner-up Eric Frenzel. The German jumped 109.5 metres (124.2 p.) A tight jumping result had 25 athletes starting with a delay of between one and two minutes. Fast skiers Fabian Rießle, Magnus Krog and Björn Kircheisen all had good starting positions between +1:19 and +1:24 and also Johannes Rydzek was not to be written off with +1:35.
Three athletes did not qualify for the competition tomorrow: Russia’s Samir Mastiev, France’s Hugo Buffard and Alessandro Pittin. Martin Zeman (CZE) and Marjan Jelenko (SLO) did not start.
