Lahti Ski Games, the last World Cup test before the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships can take place on the upcoming weekend, as planned. Today’s snow control reported on good snow conditions after the venues have already been expertly prepared for the FIS Nordic Junior World Championships on the past weekend.

“The HS130 jumping hill has an adequate amount of snow in the landing and outrun ares. The snow base is artificial snow. On top of the base layer is natural snow compressed with snow roller. The in-run have FIS certified ice tracks with a cooling system. The 2,5km North, including the Karpalo Sprint course, have similar snow construction as at the ski jumping hill and have excellent snow conditions.

The base of the snow-pack is artificial snow, on top, there are several layers of groomed natural snow”, Snow Controller Tami Kiuru reported.

The snow depth in Lahti area is around 50cm. According to the current forecast, the temperatures will remain below zero until the event and some more fresh snow expected.
