COC: Germany wins Team Sprint in Lahti (FIN)

The Team Sprint, originally scheduled for Saturday, had to be postponed to Sunday due to difficult wind conditions.
After the Ski Jumping part, Norway II with Kasper Moen Flatla (120 m) and Simen Tiller (121.5 m) was in the lead by 15 seconds, ahead of Norway I with Sebastian Oestvold (116.5 m) and Andreas Skoglund (119 m).
Germany II with Simon Mach (117.5 m) and Richard Stenzel (115 m) was 3rd, 26 seconds behind, while Germany I with David Mach (121.5 m) and Wendelin Thannheimer (110 m) was 4th, 28 seconds behind.
In an exciting cross-country race, David Mach and Wendelin Thannheimer, who each ran 7.5km, were able to assert themselves against the competition and reached the finish line in 33:42.7 min.
Second place went to Austria's Fabio Obermeyr and Christian Deuschl, just 3.2 seconds back, while Germany II finished third, 52.8 seconds back, defending their position after Ski Jumping.
The strong jumping Norwegians fell back to 6th and 8th place, while Finland I with Jesse Paeaekkoenen and Eero Hirvonen on home soil improved from 8th place to 5th place after Ski Jumping.
