Preview: World Premiere at Summer Grand Prix 2024

Three countries, two trophies, one world premiere.

The countdown is on for the FIS Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix 2024, which uniquely combines tradition with innovation as fans can look forward to the world premiere of the women’s large hill event. Athletes are set to participate in nine competitions held across three countries, including France, which after a long break is now joining Austria and Germany as organizer in the summer for the first time.

From August 23rd to 25th, Tschagguns (AUT) will host the opening of the Summer Grand Prix for the first time. At the 5th Grand Prix staging in Vorarlberg, the athletes will start the summer competitions with a Mixed Team event on Saturday, before an Individual Gundersen for both genders will be held on Sunday.

The Ski Jumping part takes place on the HS 108 in the Montafon Schanzenzentrum before the roller ski races are planned in the streets of Tschagguns.
Furthermore, a FIS Youth Cup takes place, adding a special dimension for the young participants as they are cheered on by their esteemed role models of World Cup athletes.

The journey continues with a midweek-stop in Oberstdorf (GER), where the thrill of the sport reaches new heights with the world premiere of the women’s large hill event.
The city's iconic Night Race course will provide a unique backdrop for two Individual Compact events including the first competitions of the Nordic Combined women on the HS 137. As the athletes showcase their skills on the demanding street circuit on August 28^th, spectators can look forward to the unique atmosphere of the floodlit event.

The grand finale of this year’s exhilarating Grand Prix brings the world's best Nordic Combined athletes back to France for the first time since 2018.
Chaux-Neuve (FRA), hosting its Grand Prix premiere, will present the last showdown, where fans can look forward to an Individual Gundersen on August 31^st and an Individual Compact on September 1^st for both genders. With a HS 118, these competitions also take place on a large hill, before the Overall winners of 2024 will be crowned, marking the culmination of 10 eventful days.
