Paralympic stars dominate Paris 2024 with outstanding performances

Some familiar faces of the Para Cross-Country World Cup triumphed in the summertime at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, earning a wealth of medals, diplomas, and well-deserved acclaim.
Among these incredibly versatile and talented athletes, Oksana Masters (USA) once again stood out, successfully defending her two Paralympic titles in Para Road Cycling. The American, hailing originally from Ukraine, now holds 19 Paralympic medals, including nine golds!
In the same discipline and in his first Summer Paralympic Games, Bal Pavlo (UKR) made significant strides, initially placing in the top 8 of the individual time trial event, finishing 6th and earning a Paralympic diploma. He then claimed his first Paralympic medal by winning bronze in the road race.
In the triathlon, reigning Paralympic champion Kendall Gretsch (USA) engaged in a fierce duel with Lauren Parker (AUS) and ended up adding a 7th Paralympic medal – a silver − to her impressive tally. Not yet Winter Paralympians, but having debuted in the Para Cross-Country World Cup last season, Lauren Steadman (GBR) and Nil Riudavets Victory (ESP) both claimed bronze in the triathlon for the Women's PTS5 and Men's PTS4 categories, respectively.
Honorable mentions for having received Paralympic diplomas go to Andrea Eskau (GER), Aline dos Santos Rocha (BRA), Aaron Pike (USA), and Benjamin Daviet (FRA).
