The Russian national Ski Jumping championships on the large hill were held in Chaikovsky on Tuesday and Evgeniy Klimov took a clear win.

The 22-year-old, who achieved his first podium result in the World Cup recently when he finished third in Innsbruck on January 4th, had the longest jumps in both rounds with 139.5 m and 147 m and 291.2 points.

The second place went to Maxim Sergeev, who scored 270.0 points with his jumps of 132.5 m and 140 m. Denis Kornilov came in third with 127 m and 137 m and a total of 253.2 points.

Dimitry Vassiliev (241.9 points), Mikhail Maksimochkin (239.4 points) and Alexey Romashov (239.1 points) followed on the places four to six.

The team competition on Wednesday was won by the athletes of Nizhny Novgorod, Denis Kornilov, Mikhail Maksimochkin, Roman Trofimov and Ivan Lanin, with 991.7 points.
