New date for Summer Grand Prix in Courchevel
May 30, 2023·Ski JumpingToday the official, final FIS calendar for the 2023 Ski Jumping Grand Prix was published.
For the first time women and men will compete together in almost all venues. The only exception is Hinzenbach (AUT), where the women have a fixed place in the World Cup calendar and therefore will not start in summer.
The first event in summer 2023 will be Courchevel (FRA) on July 29 and 30, followed by Szczyrk (POL) for the first time on the calendar for women and men in summer (August 05 and 06). The men had already held a Grand Prix in Szczyrk in 2011, the winner then was the Austrian Thomas Morgenstern. Szczyrk will also host the men's World Cup next winter.
Rasnov (ROU) will follow on Sept. 23 and 24, then Hinzenbach (men only) for the first time with two competitions on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
The final will then traditionally take place in Klingenthal (7.10. and 8.10.), Klingenthal will also host the only mixed team competition of the summer.
So in 2023, the Grand Prix is divided into two short blocks, this is based on a wish of most teams.
