A weekend full of Ski Flying awaits as the world’s best jumpers gather in Vikersund, Norway, for the penultimate World Cup stop of the season.

Crystal Globe winners Domen and Nika Prevc (SLO) are among the favourites as they look to cap historic seasons with more records when competition begins with qualification on Friday.

Nika Prevc, who claimed her third Crystal Globe, has won a record 17 individual World Cup events this season, more than any other ski jumper (male or female) in a single campaign.

The 21-year-old Slovenian is looking to add more victories this weekend. Prevc, who won the only women’s World Cup event in Vikersund last year, on 15 March 2025, also holds the women’s hill record on the Vikersund Hill: 236m.

Her brother, Domen Prevc, secured his career-first Crystal Globe two weeks ago and now has another milestone in sight. With 22 individual World Cup wins, he is just two victories shy of Peter Prevc’s record of 24.

Domen has already claimed 13 wins this season—an impressive tally, though still short of the 15 achieved by his brother during the 2015/16 campaign.

The Prevc siblings are not the only ones to look out for, however.

While Nika Prevc and 2025/26 World Cup breakthrough star Nozomi Maruyama (JPN) have already secured first and second in the overall rankings, the fight for third is still open at the World Cups in Vikersund and Planica (SLO).

Double Olympic champion Anna Odine Strøm (NOR) and Lisa Eder (AUT) will look to fight for overall third place as competition heats up in Vikersund.

Other contenders for the Vikersund podium include Selina Freitag (GER) and Eirin Maria Kvandal (NOR).

In the men’s competition, the fight for second and third behind Domen Prevc in the overall ranking is one to look out for.

Anže Lanišek (SLO) recently joined the party in the race for an overall World Cup podium place, while other contenders include Ryoyu Kobayashi (JPN), Daniel Tschofenig (AUT), Ren Nikaido (JPN) and Philipp Raimund (GER).

Gregor Deschwanden (SUI), who claimed his career-first World Cup victory with a win in Oslo last week, is looking to continue his winning ways. The same goes for Tomofumi Naitō (JPN), who also claimed the first World Cup win of his career in Oslo (NOR).
