Idyllic and quiet, those two words might describe Lackenhof in Lower Austria best nestling at the foot of Oetscher Mountain.

Offering a total of 40 km of slope ranging on an altitude level of 810 m to 1,893 m, the family friendly ski resort does cater for both, juniors and adults alike.

But with the international circuit making a stop for the very first time in Lackenhof, things will change January 5 and 6, 2018, with the world's fastest athletes taking over the enchanting village for their season's third stop of the Alpine Snowboard World Cup tour.

Riders will find a perfect race slope which doesn't have to hide behind the already securely established ones around the world.

And by hosting back-to-back races, one individual parallel giant slalom and one PGS Team event, Lackenhof will become the 16th Austrian World Cup venue since since Zell am See/Kaprun hosted the first World Cup in history back in November 1994 to run a World Cup competition.
