One day after coming off victorious of the parallel slalom Austrian championships staged at Hochficht (AUT) event last Saturday, Daniela Ulbing and Lukas Mathies also celebrated the title in the parallel giant slalom race on the same slope yesterday.
Daniel Ulbing, the 18-year-old women of the week, was able to secure the fourth consecutive win after having triumphed in both World Cup races staged in Bad Gastein mid of last week, ahead of her Carinthian team mates Sabine Schoeffmann and Jemima Juritz.
"It was a pretty cool week for me. Right now, I'm on a roll, and I hope to keep the momentum for the next races," she said.
Same for Lukas Mathies who held the upper hand over Styrian racer Sebastian Kislinger in the men's event.
"Facing tough conditions I was able to perform well twice. Now, I just have to tie on to it in the next races," stated Mathies.
Carinthian Alex Payer rounded out the podium as third.
