Winterberg is North Rhine-Westphalia's city with the most guaranteed snow in the federal state and not for nothing the heart of Sauerland's Winter Sport Arena.

However, it took some time that Winterberg which hosted both, a big air and parallel slalom back in 2005 and 2006, decided to celebrate a comeback as World Cup host.

In March 2015, the season's final of the Alpine Snowboard World Cup tour took place with a parallel slalom on Poppenberg.

Ever since, Local Organisers are up to host World Cup events on an annual base with the event weekend featuring the season's PSL World Cup finals for the fourth consecutive time. And just like last year, the stellar crowd will be able to witness a PSL single as well as team event on March 17 and 18, 2018.
