The FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup season’s opening competitions in Livigno, originally scheduled on December 3-4 have been rescheduled to March 2023 as a consequence of the current snow situation and in consideration of the complexity of the local resort and water situation.

Following a dry autumn period, with no significant snowfall in the last couple of weeks, the snow base in Livigno is simply not sufficient to host the World Cup race in the first weekend of December. However the back-to-back PGS and PSL races will now take place in March, most likely right after the Bakuriani 2023 World Championships in Georgia. The new dates will be communicated in the following weeks.

With Livigno’s event postponed, the 2022/23 season will now kick off in Winterberg (GER) on December 10-11.
