Sneak Preview: 2024/25 FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup Calendar

Following the tradition after the FIS Technical Committee Spring Meetings, we are more than thrilled to unveil the 2024/25 World Cup tour calendars. While these calendars are still subject to FIS Council approval next week at the FIS Congress in Reykjavik, we are excited to provide you with a first sneak peek at what’s in store for the snowboard alpine community.

The 2024/25 World Cup season will kick off in China, marking the first return to Chinese soil since the 2022 Olympic Winter Games and the first World Cup event in China since 2019. The season will debut with two new venues in China: Mylin on November 28-29, featuring PGS and PSL events, followed by Yanging on December 5-6 with another set of slalom and giant slalom competitions.

Continuing the journey through December, the tour will make its traditional PGS stops in the Italian Dolomites, first in Carezza on December 12, then in Cortina d’Ampezzo on December 14. The first leg of the tour will conclude in Davos, Switzerland, which saw a successful debut last season and will again host a thrilling PSL event just before the holiday break on December 21.

In January, the tour will resume in Scuol, Switzerland, with parallel giant slalom on January 11, before heading to Austria for a highlight night slalom in Bad Gastein, along with the first team event of the season on January 14-15. Then it’s over to Bulgaria’s Bansko for double PGS action on January 18-19, finishing an action-packed month in Slovenia’s Rogla on January 25.

In the final stretch of the season, February will see the tour travel to Canada for a pair of PGS competitions at the brand new World Cup venue in Val St. Come on February 8-9. Though it’s the first time the resort will host the snowboard alpine tour, it’s no newcomer to big events, having been a long-running venue for the moguls World Cup competition.

From Canada, the tour will return to Europe, visiting Poland’s Krynica, which stood out last year despite challenging conditions, and will host a pair of PGS events on February 15-16. After a short break, the tour will move to Germany’s Winterberg for the season's grand finale with PSL and a team event on March 15-16, just before the pinnacle event of the season at the Engadin 2025 World Championships, with the snowboard alpine events taking place on March 20-23.

All in all, the 2024/25 FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup tour promises an exhilarating season with 12 stops across nine countries. Fans can look forward to a thrilling lineup of 19 events, including five parallel slalom, 12 parallel giant slalom, and two parallel team competitions. The excitement of snowboard alpine racing will keep us on the edge of our seats all season long. And as the cherry on top, the season will culminate with the highly anticipated World Championships battle in Switzerland. Who else can’t wait? This is going to be epic!
