Final site checks completed ahead of the Snowboard Alpine World Cup season

As the start of the winter season draws near, all FIS Snowboard Alpine site inspections have now been successfully completed. The final visit took place last week in Mylin (CHN), located in Inner Mongolia - the second inspection this pre-season after the region was hit by heavy floods and severe weather during the summer.
Additional improvements were made to the snowmaking system and grooming with water injection, ensuring the slopes will be in top condition for the world’s best carvers. Mylin will once again host the season opener, featuring back-to-back Parallel Giant Slalom races on December 6–7, 2025.
Inspections also took place at the two Austrian venues. Simonhöhe (AUT) rejoins the World Cup tour with a PGS weekend after a one-year break, while Bad Gastein (AUT) — the longest-running host on the Snowboard World Cup tour — has made further improvements to the course. In January, the resort will celebrate its 26th consecutive World Cup event, having impressively gone years without a single cancellation and remaining one of the most reliable stops on the Snowboard Alpine World Cup tour.
A new addition to the calendar, Špindlerův Mlýn (CZE), will make its debut in March 2026 with a Parallel Slalom doubleheader on one of the tour’s steeper and more technically demanding slopes.
Further inspection was carried out at Val Saint-Côme (CAN), which joined the tour last season and will host the PGS season Finals in March. The finish area has been widened, and additional measures are in place for enhanced snow preparation and potential water injection.
With a mix of well-established venues and a touch of new energy, the 2025/26 Visa FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup promises another exciting season. The tour kicks off in a month, marking the beginning of several months of world-class competition around the globe.
