Winter sports aficionados, brace yourselves! The count is on with just 50 days left to the launch of the FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup, a thrilling journey slated to carve through nine destinations across eight countries. As excitement bubbles over, the global snowboarding community gears up for an enthralling season of fierce competitions and gripping showdowns.

The stage is set to light up first in Les Deux Alpes, France, primed to elevate the thrill from its previous edition and get our pulses racing from the get-go. As we then swivel to Cervinia, Italy, not only will we be greeted with the lone heats-of-six final of the season, but also a newly added team event, injecting an extra dose of drama and camaraderie to the proceedings.

Waltzing into 2024, the glittering slopes of St. Moritz await, serving as both a pivotal race to kick start the year and a crucial litmus test for the 2025 World Championships, intertwined with a Ski Cross event. Despite being the sole event in January, it promises to cascade a wave of excitement and competitive spirit across the snowboarding world.

Mid-season, let's extend a warm (or, more aptly, a cool and crisp!) welcome to newcomers Gudauri, Georgia, and Kayseri, Turkey. Following the successful legacy of Bakuriani, which hosted last year’s World Championships, Gudauri emerges as the second location in Georgia to welcome the world’s best snowboard cross athletes. Similarly, Kayseri is poised to showcase its capabilities and potential for hosting future FIS events with its inaugural SBX World Cup.

After briefly catching our breath in late February, the series swoops into a robust March, darting through the picturesque landscapes of Sierra Nevada, Spain, onward through Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, and exploring the brand new race course of Montafon, Austria, the anticipated battleground for the 2027 World Championships.

Closing the curtain, Mount St. Anne, Canada, is primed to host a spectacular finale, following its impressive debut last season, promising another riveting double event weekend that's bound to entrench itself in the memories of athletes and fans alike.

While the ongoing global disruptions have led to some inevitable tweaks to the calendar, notably absent are the usually anticipated competitions in Asia and Russia, the spirit of the World Cup remains unbridled. Athletes, fans, and organizers alike are poised to navigate through these snowy escapades, celebrating the sport that binds us all.

With 50 days to go, the anticipation cascades through the snowboarding community. Let’s gear up to celebrate, to compete, and to immerse ourselves in a season that promises both unprecedented challenges and uncharted triumphs on the snow. From fresh tracks in new locales to the triumphant returns in seasoned spots, may the best boarders carve their way to victory! Let the countdown begin, and let’s meet on the slopes!
