Montafon Snowboard Cross World Cup: Stats Preview

2025/26 FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup – Women – Montafon Stat Sheet

●      The Snowboard Cross World Cup will visit Montafon (AUT) for the 11th time. Only Veysonnaz (SUI) has hosted more World Cup events (17).  Last season, Lea Casta (FRA) triumphed on Austrian soil, ahead of Julia Nirani-Pereira (FRA) in second and Charlotte Bankes (GBR) in third.

●      Montafon will also host the 2027 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships.

●      Lea Casta (FRA) recorded a first and second place in the two events in Erzurum (TUR) last week, which propelled her to the top of the Snowboard Cross standings, 11 points ahead of Charlotte Bankes (GBR).

●      Lea Casta (FRA) can become the first rider to win World Cup events in Montafon (AUT) in back-to-back seasons.

●      Charlotte Bankes (GBR) recorded her 27th individual World Cup event win in Erzurum (TUR), and is now four behind Lindsey Jacobellis (USA, 30) on top of the all-time list.

●      Since Chloe Trespeuch (FRA) triumphed in Montafon (AUT) in 2023/24, the 17 World Cup events following have been won by only three different riders: Charlotte Bankes (GBR, 9), Lea Casta (FRA, 6) and Julia Nirani-Pereira (FRA, 2).

●      Josie Baff (AUS) finished inside the top 10 in the last 36 Snowboard Cross World Cup events she started in. She finished ninth and fifth in Erzurum (TUR) last week.

●      Chloe Trespeuch (FRA, 99) can become the second female rider to start 100 World Cup Snowboard Cross events. Lindsey Jacobellis (USA, 111) was the first to cross that threshold.

●      Chloe Trespeuch (FRA) recorded her 45th World Cup podium finish in Erzurum (TUR last week, equalling Michela Moioli (ITA, 45) in second place on the all-time standings. Lindsey Jacobellis (USA, 55) tops the list.

●      Chloe Trespeuch’s (FRA) most recent World Cup win came in Montafon (AUT), in 2023/24.

●      Michela Moioli (ITA) returns to competition for the first time since winning a bronze medal at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games in front of a home crowd. Moioli’s most recent World Cup victory came in Montafon (AUT), in 2023/24. She can record multiple World Cup event wins in a single resort for the first time.

●      Michela Moioli (ITA, 2) is one of two riders with multiple World Cup event wins in Montafon (AUT) to her name, alongside Eva Samkova (CZE, 2)

●      Julia Nirani-Pereira (FRA) has recorded five podium finishes in World Cup events in her last 10 World Cup starts, one more than in all of her 51 prior to this run.

2025/26 FIS Snowboard Cross World Cup – Men – Montafon Stat Sheet

●      Leon Ulbricht (GER, 1st and 2nd) and Aidan Chollet (FRA, 2nd and 1st) finished in the top two in both the events staged in Erzurum (TUR) last week. It marked the first time the same two riders finished in the top two in successive World Cup events since Eliot Grondin (CAN) and Cameron Bolton (AUS) in Mont-Sainte-Anne (CAN) in 2023/24.

●      Leon Ulbricht (GER) and Aidan Chollet (FRA) can become the first pair to share the top two spots in three consecutive Snowboard Cross World Cup events.

●      Aidan Chollet (FRA) and Adam Lambert (AUS) have both competed in three big finals in World Cup events this season, the most out of all riders.

●      Aidan Chollet (FRA) has reached seven big finals in World Cup events in his career, and converted six of those into podium finishes, including two second places and a victory this season.

●      Adam Lambert (AUS) leads the World Cup standings on 297 points coming into Montafon (AUT), just three ahead of Aidan Chollet (FRA). Third-placed Leon Ulbricht (GER) has only a 22-point gap between him and leader Lambert.

●      Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) has recorded five World Cup event wins in Montafon (AUT), in 2015/16, 2019/20, 2021/22 and twice in 2023/24. It marks the most Snowboard Cross World Cup event wins by a snowboarder at a single resort.

●      Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT, 34) is tied with Pierre Vaultier (FRA, 34) on the most podium finishes in World Cup Snowboard Cross events.

●      Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) is second in all-time Snowboard Cross World Cup event wins with 18, behind Pierre Vaultier (FRA, 22 wins). Eliot Grondin (CAN) is joint third with 13, alongside Jasey Jay Anderson (CAN).

●      Eliot Grondin (CAN) will return to competition for the first time since claiming the silver medal at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games. Grondin has yet to reach the big final in his five career starts in World Cup events staged in Montafon (AUT).

●      In the last three seasons, Eliot Grondin (CAN) has reached the big final in 18 of the 24 World Cup events he started, 11 more than any other rider in this time span (Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) and Loan Bozzolo (FRA) both seven).

●      Eliot Grondin (CAN) has recorded 13 World Cup event wins, joint-third of all-time alongside Jasey Jay Anderson (CAN).

●      Loan Bozzolo (FRA) recorded his first podium finish of the season last week in Erzurum (TUR), with a third place in the first event of the weekend. Bozzolo recorded one of his two career World Cup victories in Montafon (AUT) last season.

●      Loan Bozzolo (FRA) can join Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) as the only riders to record multiple World Cup event wins in Montafon (AUT).

●      Jakob Dusek (AUT) made his World Cup debut in Montafon (AUT) in the 2015/16 season, finishing 48th. His best result in Montafon is a second place in 2023/24. Dusek can win a World Cup event on Austrian snow for the first time in his career.

●      The last Snowboard Cross World Cup victory by an USA rider dates back more than seven years, to February 2019, when Mick Dierdorff (USA) triumphed in Solitude (USA). There have been 63 World Cup events since.
