Stale Sandbech is what you can call a complete snowboarder.
The youngest Norwegian ever to compete at the Olympics (2010 Vancouver) is not only a podium threat in the halfpipe and big air comps but especially on the slopestyle courses around the globe.
Checking out snowboarding at the age of eight, he got hooked right away and with the backing of his elder brother Frode, a well-known snowboard photographer, as well as the snowboard school in Geilo he quickly made his way to the top.
Blessed with an infinite talent to handle the most technical spins – he was the first ever to land a triple underlip 1260 – combined with an incredible style, the 1993 so far earned three podium finishes in 20 World Cup starts of which one was his so far sole win (Copper Mt 2013).
After his triumph in Colorado, Sandbech kept the momentum bringing home the 2014 Olympic slopestyle silver after winning the qualification at the Sochi Winter Games.
