The penultimate competition of the 2022/23 FIS Freeski and FIS Snowboard European Cup season took to the slopes of Corvatsch 3303 resort over the weekend and into Monday, where we saw European Cup Premium (ECP) level slopestyle and big air events take place, as well as the Swiss National Junior Championships slopestyle competitions for both ski and snowboard.

While the weather in Corvatsch presented some challenges through slopestyle finals, the exceptional Corvatsch course - which was held over with only minor changes from the World Cup season-ending competitions which took place in Corvatsch just a few weeks ago - allowed the talented athletes on hand to show elite-level runs in spite of the snow and light fog that hung around for the day.

For Monday’s ECP big air finals the sun was back out and the vibes in Corvatsch were sky high to close out what has been an extremely busy season for the Swiss valley that is set to host the 2025 Freestyle, Snowboard and Freeski World Championships. Impressively, Monday’s freeski and snowboard competitions were the 10th and 11th FIS-sanctioned events to take place in the Engadin-St. Moritz region this winter.

Needless to say, it’s been an incredible season of action in Engadin, with many of the future 2025 World Championships venues proving their worth time and again throughout 2022/23.

Also incredible has been the 2022/23 European Cup season, where thus far we’ve seen 11 freeski and 10 snowboard park & pipe competitions go down at some of the best freestyle resorts in Europe.

And we’re not done yet, as the 2022/23 European Cup finals are set to take place in Austria over the coming days, with the snowboarders closing out their season of EC action at Kitzsteinhorn with 2x halfpipe, slopestyle and then big air competitions from 18-22 April, and the freeskiers shutting things down over the weekend in Stubai with slopestyle and big air competitions taking place from 21-22 April.
