The 2026 FIS Park & Pipe South American Cup (SAC) season wrapped up in Cerro Catedral (ARG) from 28-29 September, where a double dose of Freeski and Snowboard Slopestyle competitions went down under some ideal conditions to close the book on the campaign in style.

While the women’s Snowboard events there in Cerro Catedral were short on riders, Chile’s Antonia Yanez and Sofia Perez showed up to go first and second in both events as the only riders in the field.

The men’s SB competitions saw some stiffer competition, with Valentin Moreno (ARG) taking top spot and Alvaro Yanez (CHI) and Pedro Pizarro (CHI) finishing second and third, respectively, in both events.

Top spot on the SAC snowboard rankings overall would go to the Yanez siblings Antonia and Alvaro.

Freeski competition saw Chilean veteran Dominique Ohaco taking the win on day one, while Javiera Rojas was best of the small field on the second of the back-to-backs. For the men it was Argentina’s Cristobal Colombo with the win on the first competition of the weekend, which he followed up with a third place in comp two where 28-year-old Ulises Dobal, also of Argentina, was the winner.

Both Ohaco and Colombo would also finish atop the SAC Freeski overall standings by the end of the action in Cerro Catedral. However, while Colombo has been a World Cup regular for the past four seasons and is sure to use the personal quota spot he’ll be granted again this winter in the northern hemisphere, we haven’t seen Ohaco in the World Cup bib since the start of the 2022/23 campaign.
