Laax Open Snowboard Slopestyle World Cup: Stats Preview

  • This will be the ninth time Laax (SUI) will host a Snowboard Slopestyle World Cup event.

  • The eight previous Slopestyle World Cup held in Laax (SUI) had eight different men’s winners. Last season, Cameron Spalding (CAN) won ahead of Red Gerard (USA) in second and Noah Vicktor (GER) in third. Of those three riders, only Noah Vicktor (GER) will compete in Laax (SUI) this year.

 Laax Slopestyle World Cup – Men

  • Jake Canter (USA) recorded his first career Slopestyle World Cup event victory in Aspen (USA) last week. He will not compete in Laax (SUI).

  • Su Yiming (CHN) can give China its first victory in a Slopestyle World Cup event. He is the only Chinese rider to record podium finishes in this discipline: second in Aspen (USA) in 2025 and second in Aspen (USA) last week.

  • Su Yiming (CHN) can become the first rider to win a Big Air and Slopestyle World Cup event within a single season since Taiga Haegawa (JPN) and Marcus Kleveland (NOR) achieved this in the 2022/23 season.

  • Marcus Kleveland (NOR) has won a record five Slopestyle World Cup events, but his last victory dates back to Laax (SUI) in 2023.

  • Marcus Kleveland (NOR, 8) is one top-three result away from equalling Red Gerard (USA, 9) on a record nine podium finishes in Slopestyle World Cup events.

  • Noah Vicktor (GER) can join Leon Vockensperger (GER) as the only German riders to win a Slopestyle World Cup event. Vicktor’s sole career podium came last season in Laax (SUI), when he finished third.

  • Oliver Martin (USA) will contest a Slopestyle World Cup for the first time on European snow. Since his World Cup tour debut in 2024/25, Martin has recorded the following Slopestyle results: 49th-53rd-1st-44th.

  • Judd Henkes (USA) finished fourth in Aspen (USA) last week. It marked his best World Cup result since third place finishes in Laax (SUI) and Mammoth (USA) during the 2019/20 season. Henkes was also second at Mammoth in 2019/20.

  • Romain Allemand (FRA) can become the first French rider to win a FIS Park & Pipe World Cup event since Arthur Longo (FRA) triumphed in Calgary (CAN) in January 2010.

Laax Slopestyle World Cup – Women

  • Julia Marino (USA) is the only snowboarder with multiple victories at Laax with two from 2024 and 2020.

  • Last season, Mia Brookes (GBR) recorded her maiden Slopestyle World Cup victory in Laax (SUI). Brookes has reached the podium in five of the seven Slopestyle World Cup events she has contested: 2nd-4th-8th-2nd-1st-3rd-3rd.

  • The all-time top three podium finishers in Slopestyle World Cup events are all competing in Laax (SUI): Jamie Anderson (USA, 12), Anna Gasser (AUT, 11) and Kokomo Murase (JPN, 10).

  • Jamie Anderson (USA) is the all-time Slopestyle World Cup wins leader with nine wins. Anderson will compete in Laax (SUI) for the first time since her victory in Laax in 2021. Her only other participation in Laax (SUI) resulted in third place in 2017.

  • Jamie Anderson (USA) has finished on the podium in 12 of the 15 Slopestyle World Cup events she has contested. Her eighth place in Aspen (USA) last week was her lowest rank in a Slopestyle World Cup event.

  • Annika Morgan (GER) has recorded five Slopestyle World Cup podium finishes but has never won a Slopestyle World Cup. Only Brooke Voigt (CAN) has reached more Slopestyle World Cup podiums without a victory, with six podiums.

  • Laurie Blouin (CAN) won the first Slopestyle World Cup event of the 2025/26 season in Aspen (USA) last week. She will not compete in Laax.

  • Mari Fukada (JPN) is on a three-event podium streak in this discipline which began in 2025: 1st-3rd-2nd. Before the streak, Fukada had not reached the podium in the first six Slopestyle World Cup events of her career.

  • Japanese women have reached the podium in each of the past eight Slopestyle events since Julia Marino (USA), Annika Morgan (GER) and Anna Gasser (AUT) made up the top-three in Laax in 2024.
