Programme adjustments announced for Calgary and Aspen Park & Pipe World Cups
Dec 28, 2025·Snowboard Park & PipeThe 2025/26 FIS Park & Pipe campaign is in full swing and the new calendar year is only days away, with the final few World Cup competitions before the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games set to take to Calgary (CAN) from 01-03 January, Aspen (USA) from 07-10 January, and finally Laax (SUI) from 15-18 January, before the Olympic qualification period closes on 19 January.
However, with challenging snow conditions across much of western North America so far this winter, organisers at both the Calgary Snow Rodeo Halfpipe World Cup and the Aspen U.S. Grand Prix World Cup have announced minor changes to the competition programmes at those host venues.
First up, Calgary, where the originally scheduled snowboard competition programme of 31 December qualifications and 02 January finals has been bumped back for both competition phases, with qualifications now taking place on 2 Jan and finals the following evening, under the lights at Calgary’s Winsport Canada Olympic Park beginning at 18:00 local time.
Freeski competition in Calgary will take place as originally scheduled, with qualifications on New Year’s Day, 01 Jan, and finals beginning at 10:30 local time on 03 Jan.
From there it’s on to the Aspen U.S. Grand Prix, where Slopestyle and Halfpipe events for both Snowboard and Freeski are on the docket.
While the programme in Aspen remains the same as scheduled, the big change comes in the form of a venue shift for the Snowboard and Freeski Slopestyle, from Aspen Buttermilk over to Aspen Snowmass.
This venue change in Aspen only applies to Slopestyle; Halfpipe competition there will take place at Buttermilk, as per the original plan.
We can’t wait to get out there for these critical World Cup competitions leading up to the big show in Livigno at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games in just a few weeks!
